Minecraft PE difficulty Command

The difficulty command sets the difficulty level for a Minecraft PE game. The command was first added to Minecraft PE in version 0.16.0.

/difficulty Syntax

/difficulty <difficulty: int>
/difficulty <difficulty: string>

/difficulty Arguments

  • <difficulty: int>
    • Valid values include
      • 0 – peaceful
      • 1 – easy
      • 2 – normal
      • 3 – hard
  • <difficulty: string>
    • Valid values include
      • p or peaceful – peaceful
      • e or easy – easy
      • n or normal – normal
      • h or hard – hard

Success/Failure

  • Success: The game’s difficulty is set to the designated difficulty level.
  • Failure: If the command is malformed or lacks a valid difficulty (int or string) the difficulty level remains the same.

Usage Notes

  • To use the summon (or any other command) in Minecraft PE cheats must be enabled.

Examples

Set difficulty to difficult (all 3 examples have the same result)

/difficulty h
/difficulty hard
/difficulty 3

Set difficulty to easy (all 3 examples have the same result)

/difficulty e
/difficulty easy
/difficulty 1
